Technical Training
Improved access to technology training resources is a high priority for TechSETS.
TechSETS is partnering with well-known training providers to offer statewide discounts on technical and
productivity training for the California K-12 community. Click on each training provider below to view
information such as course catalog, sample training modules, pricing options, and directions for subscribing:
Within the Training Area, you will also find access to the Skills Matrix, TechPROFILES, and TechMEDIA.
These Training tools are designed to help California schools:
1) determine which technology services need support,
2) identify the various tasks and skills needed to adequately support the services, and
3) provide affordable options for obtaining effective training to acquire the necessary skills.

The Skills Matrix will help to identify the various tasks and skills that are needed to support the technology-services needs within the school or district.
The TechPROFILES include a detailed list of the duties, tasks, knowledge, skills, and tools recommended for specific technical job classifications.
TechMEDIA provides links to technical training videos, interactive tutorials for using TechSETS’ resources, and informative podcasts that summarize TechSETS' articles and features.
